Swiss Bake Ltd invites applications from suitably qualified and enthusiastic individuals to fill the vacant position of Electrician.

• Reports to: Head of Engineering
• Location: Lusaka

Key Responsibilities:

·      Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.

·      Setting up single phase, three phase wiring & having knowledge of circuit breakers, switches, & gang ways. 

·      Diagnose faults and repair electric motors, control panels, and machinery.

·      Trouble shooting of heater control circuits through temperature controllers, relay, contactors etc.

·      Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.

·      Ensure minimal downtime of production equipment.

·      Understanding technical diagrams & floor plans along with load distribution network.

·      Adherent to safety standards and electrical regulations

Critical Skills & Competencies.

·      Technical Skills: proficiency with hand & power tools (conduit benders, Crimping tools, wire strippers, drills etc.)

·      Color vision: Critical for identifying color code for wires to avoid dangers.

·      Problem solving: Analyzing why problems have occurred into circuits while determining the most efficient fixes.

·      Drafting reports: Regular formalization of breakdown reports with down time & recovery technique used.

·      Planning & Organizing: organizing work areas tools & materials to meet deadlines.

Qualifications / Experience

·      Grade 12 Certificate

·      Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering / electronics

·   Minimum of 3-5 years’ hands-on experience in a similar industrial environment

·      Proven experience in repairing and maintaining electric motors

·      Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
