Position Overview for Driver Motorbike Rider Jobs in Lusaka

Job Title: Driver/Rider – 4 Wheel Vehicle & Motorbike

Location: Lusaka, Zambia

Employment Type: Full-time / Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles and motorbikes for deliveries, errands, and field visits as assigned
• Ensure the safe and timely transport of goods, documents, and personnel
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and promptly report any mechanical issues
• Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of assigned vehicles and motorbikes
• Adhere strictly to road safety rules, traffic regulations, and company policies
• Keep accurate records of trips, fuel consumption, and deliveries
• Assist with loading and offloading goods when necessary

Candidate Requirements

• Valid driver’s licenses for Class A (motorcycles), Class B (light vehicles), and Class C (medium/heavy vehicles)
• At least 2 to 3 years of proven driving and riding experience
• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
• Physically fit and capable of riding for extended periods
• Good knowledge of Lusaka’s local routes and road network
• Honest, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Defensive driving certification
• Previous experience in courier, logistics, or field operations
• Basic mechanical skills for on-road repairs
