Driver Forklift Operator Jobs in Lusaka at ZEGA LIMITED
ZEGA LIMITED is currently seeking dependable and safety-focused professionals for the position of Driver/Forklift Operator based in Lusaka, Zambia. If you have a strong background in vehicle operation and forklift handling, this opportunity offers a dynamic role supporting cargo and ground handling activities within a reputable company.
About the Driver/Forklift Operator Role
Reporting directly to the Workshop Supervisor, the successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of personnel, goods, and equipment. This role requires operating forklifts and other ground support equipment while adhering strictly to safety and aviation regulations. ZEGA LIMITED is hiring for two full-time positions.
Key Responsibilities for Driver Forklift Operator Jobs in Lusaka
- Operate company vehicles safely to transport staff and materials.
- Handle forklifts and ground support equipment following established safety procedures.
- Load and unload cargo, baggage, and operational supplies efficiently.
- Perform routine inspections on vehicles and forklifts, reporting any defects promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all aviation safety and security standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of assigned vehicles and equipment.
- Support general ground handling and warehouse operations as needed.
- Maintain accurate transport and operational records.
Candidate Profile and Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License, preferably Classes C and C1.
- Valid Forklift Operator Certificate.
- At least 2 years of experience in driving and forklift operations.
- Experience in aviation or logistics sectors is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
