Job description

We are looking for a highly disciplined, safety-conscious Company Driver to manage the transport of personnel, client materials, and project goods.

You will operate both saloon cars and light delivery trucks (e.g., Canter, Dyna, or similar). This role requires a flexible operator who is equally comfortable navigating the heavy urban traffic of Lusaka and handling long-distance countryside road travel.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Educational Background: Must possess a valid Grade 12 Certificate with a fair command of written and spoken English.
• Security Clearance: You will be required to provide Police Clearance Certificate or recent Fingerprint Clearance from the Zambia Police Service, should you become the successful candidate.
• Valid Driving License: Must possess a clean, valid driving license appropriate for both saloon cars and light commercial trucks (Class B, C1, or equivalent).
• Industry Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of commercial driving experience, with a proven track record specifically in the delivery/logistics business. Understanding delivery notes, quotations, packing lists.
• Geographical Knowledge: Excellent familiarity with Lusaka’s and Copperbelt urban road networks, industrial areas, and major highways leading to outer provinces.
• Basic Mechanical Competency: Practical knowledge of automotive mechanics to handle minor roadside breakdowns independently.
• Professional Attributes: Highly time-conscious, reliable, sober habits, and excellent communication skills to interact professionally with site supervisors and clients.
