Job description

Mulime farm is a crop and poultry farm located in Lusaka and is recruiting drivers to manage farm logistics. 

POSITION: DRIVER         LOCATION: LUSAKA

Purpose of the Position:

To provide secure and timely driving services and logistics at the farm

Key Tasks

• Keep the vehicle in a safe and lawful manner and in accordance with Zambian Traffic laws & Regulations

• Deliveries of farm produce to different locations 

• Deliveries of poultry orders in early hours as per orders

• Ensure punctuality, comfort and safety of passengers

• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and tidy and in good working condition

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections before using the vehicle and immediately report any mechanical faults, unusual noises or other abnormalities to your supervisor

• Ensure that all essential equipment is kept in the vehicle and is in good working condition – car jack, spare tire, first aid kit etc.

• Maintain and submit vehicle log book information to supervisor on a weekly basis

• Report any accident immediately, however small it may be

• Ensure vehicle insurance and registration is updated according to schedule

• Perform other related duties assigned from time to time by the supervisor

Academic Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes

• Grade 12 School Certificate.

• Must be able to drive manual vehicles 

• Class C Driver’s Licence.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience 

• Experience of having driven on a farm and be able to work early hours is an advantage
