Wolfvale Mining Limited, located in Kitwe, Copperbelt, Zambia, is excited to offer diesel engine technician jobs in Kitwe as we establish a specialized diesel engine rebuild centre. Our facility focuses on light vehicles, trucks, and mining equipment with ambitions to expand into heavy mining equipment and industrial engines. We are seeking two skilled Diesel Engine Technicians to join our growing team on a part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities for Diesel Engine Technician Jobs in Kitwe

• Strip down, assess, and rebuild diesel engines to OEM specifications
• Perform fault finding and root cause analysis on engine failures
• Measure and inspect engine components, including clearances, tolerances, and wear limits
• Assemble engines adhering strictly to manufacturer standards
• Maintain clean, organized workspaces following 5S methodology
• Document rebuild processes and record all work performed
• Collaborate with management to enhance workshop processes and reduce turnaround times

Candidate Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate
• Craft or Trade Certificate in Automotive or Heavy Equipment Repair
• Membership with the Engineering Institute of Zambia
• Minimum of three years’ experience in diesel engine repair and rebuilds
• Experience with Toyota Land Cruiser, MAN, Volvo, Sino, FAW trucks, CAT, Cummins, or similar engines
• Valid Class B unrestricted driver’s license
• Exposure to mining or heavy equipment engines is advantageous
• Experience working in structured OEM or mining workshops
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and dial gauges
• Hands-on experience with engine strip and assembly, beyond routine servicing
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong computer literacy skills
