Development Intern

Job description

Impact Center is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Development Intern to support the organization’s growth and sustainability efforts. The role is a paid six (6) month full-time internship reporting to the Executive Director, with an expected start date of July 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the identification and development of funding and partnership opportunities
• Assist in preparing concept notes, proposals, reports and other development documents
• Conduct research on emerging trends, funding opportunities and potential collaborations
• Support planning and implementation of programs, events and initiatives
• Build and maintain relationships with partners, clients and stakeholders
• Support digital communications and outreach activities
• Maintain records and databases related to projects, partnerships and stakeholders
• Support monitoring, reporting and documentation of organizational activities and impact
• Participate in meetings, workshops and networking events as required

Qualifications and Skills

• Recent graduate with a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or any related field
• Strong writing, research and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency in Google Docs, Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools
• Demonstrated interest in development, innovation, entrepreneurship, public policy or social impact
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
