As a Demand Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory management and demand forecasting for the Rock Tools Region Central Africa. This role requires close collaboration with regional stakeholders to ensure efficient supply chain operations and inventory optimization.

Key Responsibilities for Demand Planner Jobs in Kitwe

• Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings for assigned areas.
• Gather forecast data, conduct gap and trend analysis, and propose process enhancements.
• Collaborate with regional stakeholders to communicate forecasting and inventory information effectively.
• Provide feedback to ensure orders align with forecasts and support internal departments in inventory management improvements.
• Maintain inventory parameters in partnership with regional management for all stockrooms under your responsibility.
• Plan replenishment activities based on forecasts and release orders per system requisitions and customer demands.
• Handle expediting requests and perform detailed inventory analysis to optimize stock levels.
• Develop short- and long-term inventory strategies with relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor key inventory indicators such as fill rate, obsolete and slow-moving stock, days in inventory, order fulfillment lead time, forecast accuracy, and airfreight.
• Provide backup support to team members as needed.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Matriculation or equivalent qualification.
• BCom degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Strong understanding of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and root cause analysis skills.
• Effective time management and ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
• High attention to detail and capability to implement and manage process changes.
• Strong verbal and written presentation skills.
• Experience with forecasting tools is advantageous.
• Valid driver’s license required.
