DEAN OF STUDENTS
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Providing strong leadership in all aspects of student affairs.
Overseeing student discipline, welfare, and behavioural support systems.
Coordinating student activities, clubs, and extracurricular programmes.
Ensuring compliance with school policies, statutory regulations, and safeguarding standards.
Leading conflict‑resolution processes, counselling interventions, and disciplinary hearings.
Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and administrators to promote student success.
Managing student records, preparing reports, and supporting the overall academic environment.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Student‑centered, approachable, and emotionally intelligent.
High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Applicants must possess:
Bachelor’s degree in Education Management, Leadership and Management, Psychology, Sociology or closely related field.
Master’s degree in Education Management, Leadership and Management, Psychology, Sociology or closely related field.
PhD in Education Management, Leadership and Management, Psychology, Sociology or closely related field.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in educational leadership, student affairs, or school administration.
ZAQA‑certified qualifications.
Active affiliation to relevant professional bodies, such as:
Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ)
Zambia Guidance & Counselling Association (ZGCA)
Other recognized educational or professional organisations
5 O‑levels including English and Mathematics.
Demonstrated experience in managing student discipline and welfare frameworks.
