Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst Intern to join our team in Zambia. The intern will assist in collecting, cleaning, analysing, and visualizing data to support business decision-making. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates passionate about data analysis and looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
Assist in developing dashboards and reports using tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
Support business teams with data-driven insights for decision-making.
Conduct statistical analysis and basic forecasting to identify business opportunities.
Document processes, methodologies, and data-related workflows.
Collaborate with different departments to understand data requirements and reporting needs.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
Recent university graduate (No more than 2 years since graduation)

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and visualization.
Basic knowledge of SQL for querying databases.
Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio is a plus.
Understanding of statistical concepts and data modelling techniques.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling data.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Good communication skills for presenting insights to non-technical stakeholders.
