Position Overview – Data Analyst
As a Data Analyst at AB Bank, you will play a critical role in analyzing complex data sets and delivering insightful business reports. Your analyses will support business cases and projects initiated by various departments, enhancing data quality and operational efficiency. You will utilize advanced BI tools such as Qlik Sense, Python, and SQL to interpret patterns and trends, ensuring that data-driven strategies align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities in Data Analyst Jobs in Lusaka
- Analyze data and generate comprehensive business reports using BI tools including Qlik Sense, Python, and SQL.
- Advise on optimal methods for data collection, analysis, and management to improve data quality and system efficiency.
- Identify, interpret, and assess data patterns and trends while eliminating irrelevant data to maintain accuracy.
- Support business cases and project proposals by gathering requirements from business users and departmental managers.
- Design and deliver weekly and monthly performance reports to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure data analysis aligns with business objectives and enhances customer service orientation.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- ZAQA certification is mandatory.
- At least one year of experience in data mining or related analytical roles.
- Proficient in SQL, Qlik, Power BI, and scripting languages such as Python or ETL Logic.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies including JavaScript, React, and Angular.
- Experience with enterprise applications such as core banking systems, ERP, mobile, and online banking platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure while maintaining focus on organizational goals.
