EXCITING CAREER OPPORTUNITY

CYBER SECURITY ANALYST- X2

Location: Lusaka

Industry: Banking and Financial Services

Reports to: ICT Security Manager

A leading institution in the banking and financial sector, is seeking qualified, skilled, and proactive two (2) professionals to join its Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Department as a Cyber Security Analyst.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to play a key role in safeguarding the Bank’s information assets, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards, and enhancing the security posture of the organization.

KEY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To implement, manage, and enhance cybersecurity measures that protect the Bank’s information systems and data. The role involves analyzing and mitigating security risks, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Monitor and respond to cybersecurity alerts and incidents to mitigate threats in real time.

·        Implement and manage security information and event management (SIEM) tools.

·        Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, and coordinate remediation efforts.

·        Develop and execute incident response plans to address and contain security incidents.

·        Develop, implement, and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures in line with industry standards.

·        Conduct security awareness programs and training sessions for staff.

·        Implement and manage endpoint security solutions and monitor alerts.

·        Manage user access and permissions in accordance with the principle of least privilege.

·        Conduct regular security audits to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

·        Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies and recommend appropriate adoption.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

·        Full Grade 12 School Certificate with 5 ‘O’ Level credits.

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

·        Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, COBIT 5, or ITIL v4 will be an added advantage.

·        At least three (3) years of relevant post-qualification experience in cybersecurity or information security management.

·        Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·        Proficiency in security tools, risk assessment, and compliance frameworks.
