About the Credit Risk Analyst Role

This full-time position requires a highly analytical professional with a proven track record in managing fast-moving lending portfolios within emerging markets. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in digital lending, microfinance risk analytics, and credit operations. This is a mid-level role, demanding expertise in alternative data usage, behavioral scoring, fraud detection, and delinquency analysis.

Key Responsibilities for Credit Risk Analyst Jobs in Lusaka

• Monitor and optimize portfolio risk performance to ensure sustainable growth
• Conduct comprehensive borrower and sector risk analysis
• Support the refinement of credit policies and development of credit scorecards
• Analyze repayment behavior and delinquency trends to identify risk patterns
• Detect and investigate fraud patterns and suspicious lending activities
• Prepare detailed risk dashboards and portfolio reports for senior management

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the following areas:

• Microfinance, digital lending, banking risk, or fintech credit operations
• Expertise in PAR (Portfolio At Risk) analysis, vintage analysis, roll rates, and collections analytics
• Fraud risk monitoring and credit scoring methodologies
• Experience managing unsecured consumer or SME lending portfolios with high volumes
• Ability to independently identify portfolio deterioration trends and recommend corrective measures

Strong proficiency in Excel is essential. Experience with SQL, Power BI, Python, or other analytics platforms is highly advantageous.
