EXCITING CAREER OPPORTUNITY

CREDIT ANALYST – CORPORATE

Location: Lusaka, Zambia

Industry: Banking and Financial Services

Beatmas Human Resource Consultants Limited is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals on behalf of one of our esteemed clients in the financial services sector.

If you are a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and results-driven professional with a passion for corporate credit analysis and financial risk assessment, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Reviewing and analysing corporate loan applications to assess creditworthiness and financial viability.

ii. Evaluating financial statements, cash flows, collateral, business performance and industry risks.

iii. Preparing comprehensive credit appraisal reports and recommendations for lending decisions.

 iv. Investigating discrepancies in financial information using internal and external sources, including Credit Reference Bureaus (CRBs).

v. Monitoring existing loan portfolios to ensure compliance with approved terms, loan covenants and credit policies.

vi. Supporting the monitoring of financed projects and reviewing loan disbursement requests.

vii. Preparing periodic credit management reports, portfolio reviews and loan exception reports.

viii.       Ensuring compliance with internal credit policies, risk management standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

  • Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate with at least five (5) Credits, including English and Mathematics.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in corporate lending, credit analysis, financial analysis or a similar role.

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Sound numerical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and assess business performance.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

We are seeking an individual who is proactive, objective, commercially aware and capable of making sound credit recommendations that balance business growth with prudent risk management.
