We are recruiting on behalf of a respected client within the banking and financial services industry for a full-time Corporate Credit Analyst position based in Lusaka, Zambia.

About the Role: Corporate Credit Analyst

This position calls for a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with a strong passion for corporate credit analysis and financial risk evaluation. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing creditworthiness, preparing credit appraisals, and supporting risk management initiatives to facilitate sound lending decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyse corporate loan applications to determine creditworthiness and financial viability.
• Evaluate financial statements, cash flows, collateral, business performance, and industry risks.
• Prepare comprehensive credit appraisal reports with recommendations for lending decisions.
• Investigate discrepancies in financial data using both internal records and external sources, including Credit Reference Bureaus (CRBs).
• Monitor existing loan portfolios to ensure adherence to approved terms, loan covenants, and credit policies.
• Support the monitoring of financed projects and review loan disbursement requests.
• Prepare periodic credit management reports, portfolio reviews, and loan exception reports.
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, risk management standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate with at least five (5) credits, including English and Mathematics.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in corporate lending, credit analysis, financial analysis, or a similar role.
