Position Overview

 A reputable lime processing company is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Crane Operator.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate mobile cranes safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and statutory requirements.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance checks on cranes and associated lifting equipment.
• Lift, move, position, and place materials, equipment, and machinery as directed.
• Ensure all lifting activities are carried out in compliance with approved lifting plans and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with riggers, supervisors, and other personnel during lifting operations.
• Report equipment defects, incidents, and unsafe conditions promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of crane inspections, operations, and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to all company health, safety, and environmental policies.

Minimum Requirements

•  Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Valid Crane Operator Certificate/License from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of One (1) year proven experience operating mobile cranes in a mining, construction, or industrial environment.
• Sound knowledge of lifting procedures, load charts, and crane safety regulations.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and in demanding environments.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
