We are inviting applications to fill the following vacant position:

POSITION:   COST ACCOUNTANT

CONTRACT: PERMANENT

LOCATION:  LUSAKA

Reporting to the Management Accountant, the successful candidate will be accountable for the following:

Assist in preparation of the monthly periodic management accounts
Preparing monthly cost variance reports
 Periodic collation of raw material pricing for BOMs
Assist in budget formulation, implementation and control
Coordinate monthly inventory counts
 Prepare monthly inventory reconciliations
Perform CWIP analysis and fixed asset capitalization
Assist to track fixed assets spent to budget
Prepare monthly fixed assets reconciliations
Preparing statutory returns for Excise tax
Providing accounting, budgeting and management information services

This job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:

 Grade 12 Certificate
Minimum part qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant or equivalent in the related field
  ZICA Membership
At least 3 years’ accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  Ability to work with accounting packages
Knowledge in SAP is added advantage
Ability to advise on management of financial resources
