Based in Kalulushi at the Technical Directorate Core Shed, this role exists to assist in laying and packing of core during client visits and general cleaning of the Core Shed area. Self-driven and energetic locals who meet minimum requirements are highly encouraged to apply.
Job Description
1. JOB PURPOSE
To assist in laying and packing of core during client visits and general cleaning of the Core Shed area.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
2.1 To pack core boxes in organize stacks according to borehole identification numbers for easy retrieval.
2.2 To lay out core for client’s access for logging purposes.
2.3 To change damaged core boxes for preservation of core integrity
2.4 Labelling of new core boxes by indicating the hole identification number and the depth interval contained in a particular box to distinguish core.
2.5 Cleaning of core shed rooms to maintain good housekeeping and prevent accumulation of dust on core.
2.6 Core cutting for sampling and subsequent laboratory analysis

1. WORKING CONDITIONS: Working Environment Job holder exposed to outdoor working environment which involves lifting and packing of Core boxes and samples, cleaning/ general housekeeping
Job Requirements
Minimum Grade 12 school certificate/ GCE with Five (5) Credits or Better – English and Mathematics included.
Certificate in an Equivalent field
Minimum level of professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role N/A
