Content Manager

Are you a creative digital strategist with a passion for food, culture, and live events? The Flavours Festival 2025 team is looking for an experienced Social Media & Content Manager to lead our online storytelling, drive community engagement, and ensure our digital presence is as flavourful as our festival.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a multi-platform social media strategy (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn)
Create and curate engaging, on-brand content including video snippets, behind-the-scenes moments, chef features, and sponsor highlights
Coordinate with graphic designers, photographers, videographers, and media partners to ensure timely content delivery
Manage the festival’s social media calendar, copywriting, captions, and daily publishing
Build and maintain an active online community by responding to comments, DMs, and tagged content
Drive ticket sales and vendor sign-ups through targeted content, contests, influencer collaborations, and paid ad optimisation
Monitor performance analytics and adjust strategies based on engagement and conversion rates
Provide live social media coverage during key pre-festival activities and festival weekend
Assist with post-event reporting and digital wrap-up

Requirements:

5+ years experience managing social media accounts and content for large-scale events, festivals, or lifestyle brands
Strong copywriting, content planning, and visual storytelling skills
Proven ability to manage and grow social communities
Proficiency in content planning tools (Later, Hootsuite, or similar) and basic graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite)
Experience with influencer management and digital partnerships is a major plus
Strong understanding of Zambian and regional cultural trends, food scenes, and youth digital behaviour
Available for on-site coverage during event dates and pre-event activations
