Job description

The Consulting Business Development & Programs Officer will spearhead NASCU’s strategic growth agenda, support the expansion of member services, strengthen program execution, and drive partnerships that enhance the sustainability and relevance of NASCU and its member SACCOs.

Key Responsibilities

Drive business development initiatives aligned to NASCU’s strategic plan and value proposition.
Design, manage and support programs that strengthen SACCO capacity, governance and operational performance.
Lead market research, product development and revenue-generation initiatives.
Identify, engage and manage strategic partnerships with local, regional and international stakeholders.
Support resource mobilization efforts, including proposal development and grant management.
Coordinate program reporting, monitoring and evaluation.
Work closely with the CEO and management team to ensure effective delivery of NASCU’s mandate.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Development Studies, Finance or related field; a Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, program management or related roles, preferably within financial services, cooperatives, development or NGO sectors.
Demonstrated experience in partnership management and stakeholder engagement
Strong analytical, communication and project management skills.
Ability to work independently, deliver on targets and operate within established NASCU policies, procedures and values.

Engagement Terms

This is a consultancy position, with deliverables-based performance expectations. The successful candidate will be engaged on a contract subject to performance and organizational needs.
