About the Role – Compliance Specialist Jobs in Kalumbila

Reporting directly to the Regulatory Affairs Manager, the Compliance Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the company’s regulatory and compliance strategy. You will focus on risk management, regulatory engagement, and ensuring full adherence to legal requirements across our operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing, implementing, and continuously improving the company’s compliance framework.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to mining, environmental management, labor, and health and safety.
• Aligning internal controls with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Contributing to frameworks addressing anti-bribery, corruption, financial crime, data protection, and corporate governance.
• Coordinating regulatory submissions, filings, and responses to government inquiries.
• Supporting regulatory audits, inspections, and reviews to ensure preparedness and responsiveness.
• Preparing regular compliance reports that highlight key risks and trends for management.
• Maintaining accurate records of licenses, permits, filings, and compliance documentation.
• Tracking and reporting remediation actions and compliance performance metrics.
• Assisting with planning and executing complex and critical lifts safely.
• Promptly reporting equipment defects, hazards, or unsafe conditions.

Candidate Requirements for Compliance Specialist Jobs in Kalumbila

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline. Professional certifications in compliance, risk management, or governance are advantageous.
• At least five years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, audit, or risk management, preferably within mining, energy, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of Zambian mining laws, environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and other relevant legal frameworks.
• Proven experience in supporting regulatory audits, inspections, and government engagements.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
