EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: CLEARING AND FORWARDING SUPERVISOR

Reports To: Managing Director

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clearing and Forwarding Supervisor to manage our KKI Airport office for clearance of consignments in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate must have a solid managerial and supervisory track record, a thought leader and change champion to drive the business growth trajectories.  Key Responsibilities

·        Identify and pursue new business streams to grow the clearing and forwarding business.

·        Manage the airport office by ensuring business licenses, utilities and staff are all in place.

·        Proactive stakeholder engagement and relationships with Customs, ZRA, ZICTA, ZAMRA, Civil Aviation, NAC 200 for efficient service delivery.

·        Ensure timely consignment clearance according to classification and type and outbound in liaison with relevant departments as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

·        Lead and manage the clearing and forwarding team in a manner that nurtures talent and build capacity for growth and development.

·        Ensure customer service excellence in all service offerings at the airport and handle all clients queries with professionalism in coordination with other departments.

·        Ensure total safety and health compliance in parcels and staff handling as per NAC and council regulatory requirements.

·        Conduct periodic stock take and reconciliation of all business transactions in liaison with the Senior Accountant and Administration.

·        Prepared and submit daily, weekly and monthly business and financial reports to the Managing Director..

 Qualifications and Experience

·        School Certificate with credit or better in 5 O level subjects including English, Mathematics and Sciences.

·        Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Clearing and forwarding or related fields from a reputable university or collage.

·        Knowledge and skill in usage of Sage 200, Google sheet, Excel and other reporting tools.

·        3 to 5 years of post-graduation work experience preferably in clearing and forwarding industries, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
