Primary Responsibilities for Cleaners and Gardeners Jobs in Lusaka and Copperbelt

• Cleaning Duties: Clean offices, corridors, washrooms, kitchens, and other designated areas thoroughly.
• Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, and sanitize workspaces to maintain hygiene standards.
• Collect and dispose of waste safely and responsibly.
• Use and store cleaning materials and equipment correctly to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Gardening Duties: Mow lawns and maintain landscaped areas to enhance outdoor aesthetics.
• Trim hedges, trees, and shrubs to keep grounds tidy.
• Water plants and maintain flower beds regularly.
• Remove weeds and care for outdoor spaces to prevent deterioration.
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment safely and effectively.

Candidate Requirements and Qualifications

• Grade 12 School Certificate is mandatory.
• At least two years of professional experience in cleaning and/or gardening services.
• Basic literacy and ability to communicate in English.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks consistently.
• Demonstrated honesty, reliability, discipline, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and clients.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience in corporate offices, educational institutions, hospitals, or commercial environments is advantageous.
• Familiarity with modern cleaning methods and landscaping best practices.
• Proficiency in operating gardening equipment such as lawn mowers, brush cutters, and hedge trimmers.
