Summary

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Marsh will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial accounting, compliance reporting, and risk management. This hybrid position requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in people management. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA or ACCA certifications preferred. We are seeking a talented individual to join the Finance department at Marsh. This role will be based in Lusaka, hybrid and has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

  • Financial Accounting & Bookkeeping Oversight
  • Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
  • Client Fund Segregation & Treasury Control
  • Zambia Taxation & Risk Management
  • Business Analysis & Finance-Business Integration
  • Compliance Accountability & Senior Executive Duties

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines; holders of CPA, ACCA or equivalent financial qualifications are preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience, including at least 5 years’ people management experience at national level. Demonstrated strong career progression; multinational experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ full-cycle financial accounting experience, including at least 3 years as a finance lead within an insurance brokerage or insurance carrier.
  • Proficient in Tax, intermediary commission accounting, agent commission splitting and full-cycle reconciliation with insurance carriers.
  • No prior records of financial misconduct or adverse tax history; eligible to pass senior officer due diligence for Zambia fit and proper person evaluation.
  • Strong internal control mindset and cross-department communication skills, capable of reconciling business growth with regulatory compliance.
