Lead and manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure financial integrity and compliance
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, collaborating with department heads to drive financial performance
Manage tax compliance and reporting, ensuring adherence to Zambian tax laws and regulations
Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and implement recommendations for process improvements
Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making
Implement and maintain robust financial systems and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, as well as regulatory requirements
Preparing and/or reviewing daily, weekly and monthly reports in accordance with the reporting calendars and Finance Policy Manual and ensuring that all reports are submitted on a timely basis and accurate.
Finalize P&L and ensure necessary journal entries are created for corrections.
Verify and upload financial reports and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent)
Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role
In-depth knowledge of Zambian accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations
Strong technical skills in financial reporting, analysis, and management accounting
Proficiency in ERP systems, accounting software, and advanced MS Excel skills

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
Proven track record of implementing financial controls and process improvements
Experience in a multinational or fast-paced business environment is highly desirable
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
Strong ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality
