Job description
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient, quality customer retention and service
- Assist in cutting, trimming and packaging of meat products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Serve customers, weigh and package meat, and give advice on preparation and cooking
- Keep work areas clean at all times
- Sharpen and clean knives and operate cutting machinery
- Display produce in windows or cabinets and ensure proper labeling and display of meat cuts
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Butchery production certification
- 1-2 years of experience in butchery production
- Basic knowledge in butchery food preparation
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights
- Candidates should be medically fit
Skills and Other Requirements
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stay calm and focused
- Interpersonal skills
- Supervisory skills and ability to train employees to use time efficiently
- Physical Exam Required: Medical Report and Police Clearance
