Job Role: Butchery Assistant

Responsibilities

To provide efficient, quality customer retention and service.

• Assist in cutting, trimming, and packaging meat products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Serve customers by weighing and packaging meat and giving advice on preparation and cooking.
• Make sure work areas are kept clean at all times.
• Sharpen and clean knives and operate cutting machinery.
• Display produce in windows or cabinets.
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area, assist with customer service, and ensure proper labeling and display of meat cuts in the store.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Butchery production certification.
• 1–2 years of experience in butchery production.
• Basic knowledge in butchery food preparation.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
• Candidate should be medically fit.

• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to stay calm and focused.
• Inter-personal skills.
• Supervisory skills – ability to train employees to use time efficiently and to be uncompromising regarding service delivery.

Physical Exam Required: Medical Report & Police Clearance
