Bemba Language Teacher

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Bemba language lessons for students of varying ages and proficiency levels.
• Teach reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills in Bemba.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with learning objectives.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and interactive learning environment.
• Encourage appreciation of Bemba language, culture, and traditions where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and student performance records.
• Participate in staff meetings, school activities, and professional development as required.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Languages, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Teaching qualification with specialization in Bemba is an added advantage.
• Fluency in spoken and written Bemba and English.
• Previous teaching experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for teaching and helping students develop confidence in the Bemba language.
