Job description
JOB POSITION: BARMAN
DEPARTMENT: FOOD & BEVERAGE
REPORTS TO: FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER
Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Barman to join our dynamic team at Mika convention Center. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, have strong knowledge of beverages, and be able to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area at all times.
Recommend and upsell drinks and cocktails to maximize revenue.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Handle guest complaints and requests in a professional and courteous manner.
Manage stock levels, perform daily inventory checks, and assist with ordering supplies.
Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Full Grade twelve Certificate
Previous experience as a Barman/Bar Attendant in a hotel or busy bar environment.
Excellent knowledge of cocktails, wines, and spirits.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple orders efficiently.
Must be of sober character and maintain a neat appearance.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
