Key Responsibilities for Assistant Revenue Accountant Jobs in Lusaka
- Collect and compile CIT input billing data weekly, accurately populating the billing template.
- Analyze CIT receipts to ensure revenue assurance and accuracy.
- Maintain proper filing and archiving of all source documents.
- Manage daily postings of receipts, subject to review by the Billing Officer.
- Verify all sales sheets against monthly billing records.
- Support the Billing Officer with physical billing processes.
- Monitor and verify alarm terminations, additions, and active alarms.
- Track ATM additions, terminations, and shortages.
- Reconcile revenue in collaboration with the debt collection team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 certificate with at least five ‘O’ level credits, including Mathematics and English.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Chartered Accountancy, ACCA, CIMA, or a related qualification.
- Minimum of three years’ relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.
- Effective organizational and time management abilities.
- Keen observation skills to identify discrepancies and anomalies.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Sage 200 accounting software is a distinct advantage.
