ASSISTANT MANAGER – BROKER UNIT

Reporting to: Manager – Broker Unit

We are therefore inviting applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and results-driven professionals to fill the following position(s):

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports the development and maintenance of strong working relationships with registered insurance brokers.

Serves as a key point of contact for brokers on operational, underwriting, and service-related matters.

Ensures adherence to agreed turnaround times and service level standards.

Ensures consistent service quality across all broker accounts.

Supports the enforcement of compliance standards across broker operations.

Assists in implementing internal controls and risk mitigation measures within the unit.

Provides day-to-day supervision and guidance to assigned staff.

Supports staff training, coaching, and performance monitoring.

KEY COMPETENCIES

Good understanding of insurance products, underwriting processes, and broker operations.

Strong coordination, follow-up, and organizational skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to analyse operational data and prepare reports.

Proficiency in MS Office and insurance systems.

High ethical standards, professionalism, and customer focus.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12 School Certificate.

Degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or related field.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar or related position.
