JOB OPPORTUNITY

Eastern Water and Sanitation Company Limited was incorporated as a private company limited by shares, under the Companies Act (Cap 388 of the Laws of Zambia) on 12th May 2008.  The Company’s mission is to uplift the living standards of all our customers through the exceptional provision of safe, adequate and affordable and environmentally friendly water supply and sanitation services to the existing and potential clients in the urban and peri-urban areas of Eastern Province. In order to achieve its mandate Eastern Water and Sanitation Company is advertising for the position  of:

Assistant Information Communication Technology Officer (Head Office) – Grade S5 – Required No: 1

Reporting to:  Information Communication Technology Officer

JOB MAIN PURPOSE

To assist the ICT Officer in planning, managing and providing quality, reliable and modern ICT services that support the operations of the Company and contribute to overall efficiency, productivity and attainment of Company objectives

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure the smooth running of all ICT systems, including the billing software, meter reading system, accounting systems, payroll, anti-virus, email provision, etc.
Ensure that ICT facilities meet the needs of the company.
Managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems
Scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems.
Assist developing a Wide Area Network and ensuring a secure access to the network by remote users.
Ensuring the security of data from internal and external attack by keeping up to date with ICT technology
Initiating, promoting and implementing ICT policy in the company.
Assist to Prepare ICT management reports.
Carry out other duties as delegated by superiors.
Configuration and management of Sage 200 ERP
Configuration and management of Microsoft Dynamic 365
Undertake Web/software Design, management, testing and deployment
Installation, configuration and management of SQL Server
Installation, configuration and management of  Windows Server environment

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

Grade 12 Certificate with 5 ‘O’ levels including English & Mathematics
Bachelor’s Degree in software engineering and or computer science or its equivalent
Microsoft / Cisco certification is an added advantage
Full Professional Membership to Information Communication Technology Association of Zambia (ICTAZ)
Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar position
