Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Accountant located in Lusaka Province, Zambia. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, processing invoices and payments, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. Other tasks include reconciling accounts, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Qualifications

Proficiency in maintaining financial records and preparing financial statements
Experience in invoicing, payments processing, and account reconciliation
Skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Knowledge of financial regulations and standards
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Relevant educational background, such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Professional certifications, such as CA Zambia or ACCA, would be an advantage
