*Supervisor – Artisanal Mine*

Location: Kasempa, Zambia.

Our client, a well-established organisation in the mining sector, wishes to recruit a suitably qualified Supervisor – Artisanal Mine.

*Position Summary*

The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day artisanal mining operations, ensuring productivity, regulatory compliance, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards. The role requires strong leadership capability and hands-on operational experience in small-scale or artisanal mining environments.

*Key Responsibilities*

Supervise daily artisanal mining operations and workforce activities

Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance standards

Monitor production output and operational efficiency

Ensure proper site discipline and workforce coordination

Maintain accurate operational and incident records

Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities and local stakeholders

Implement risk mitigation and safety control measures

*Minimum Requirements*

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in artisanal or small-scale mining operations

Proven supervisory experience in a mining environment

Strong understanding of mining safety standards and regulatory compliance

Ability to manage teams in remote site locations

Relevant qualification in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field will be an added advantage
