The Company Seeks the Services of an Artisan Heavy Equipment Repair x4

Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

Repairing and maintaining mobile equipment
Compiling checklists or worksheets for submission to the Supervisor
Carry out condition monitoring functions as required on assigned on mobile equipment.
Conduct root cause analysis of any failures on equipment and recommend solutions to the foreman/supervisor.
Clean, lubricate, and conduct routine services on heavy-duty vehicles.
Ensure tools are clean and kept in appropriate places after use.
Promote and uphold health, safety, and environmental standards and policies across the department.
Facilitate the Stop, Look, Assess and Manage (SLAM) Mopani Communication (Mcom), and relevant training sessions to enhance team awareness and skills development.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
Craft Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair
Underground working and five years’ work experience will be an added advantageGood Communication Skills
Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)
Good Problem-solving skills
All academic qualifications should be verified and certified by Zambia Qualifications Authority.

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
