Air Separation Unit – Plant Operator

What you will enjoy doing

In this role you will ensure availability at all times of Liquid Oxygen, Liquid Nitrogen and other Cryogenic gases ready to be served to customers and maintaining accurately the hourly production records for proper plant optimization
Also, you will be required to report accurately any unusual plant conditions that may lead to interruption in liquid production
Ensure all empty portable cryogenic/ Argon/Nitrogen cylinders are filled and records well maintained that is Cylinder serial number, purity, tamper proof seal number, filling pressure and date
Carrying out planned maintenance on equipment during shutdown will form part of your duties
You will ensure daily liquid reconciliation with a view to controlling losses that is, reduce liquid losses during production and decanting by 25% of its current value
Furthermore, you ensure analysis of acetylene presence in the liquid Oxygen is done ones per shift and any deviation from the standard reported immediately to the Operations Manager

What makes you great

You possess a Grade 12 School Certificate and a Trade Test in process control or Technician Certificate or equivalent and a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role
Further you must be computer literate and able to prepare production report
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Have a good command in English language (oral and written)
