Position: Laboratory Technicians / QA Analysts
Department: Laboratory (Lab)
Location: Lusaka, Zambia
Employment Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform sampling, chemical, physical, and microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, packaging materials, and finished goods.
• Verify product parameters (pH, Brix, density, acidity, fat content, total solids, sterility) against established quality specifications.
• Conduct environmental hygiene monitoring, swab testing, and sanitation verification across processing and aseptic packaging areas.
• Maintain, calibrate, and verify laboratory testing equipment, instruments, and reagents according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Document and record laboratory test results accurately, flagging non-conformances or deviations immediately to production and quality management.
• Ensure strict adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), HACCP, ISO food safety standards, and GMP guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science & Technology, Laboratory Science, Applied Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Previous laboratory testing or quality assurance experience in a food, dairy, or beverage manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with microbiological techniques, aseptic sampling, and wet chemistry analytical methods.
• Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
