About the Role: Accounts Officer Grants Jobs in Lusaka As the Accounts Officer, Grants, you will play a key role in supporting the financial administration of donor-funded projects. Your primary responsibilities will include recording, monitoring, and reporting all grant-related financial transactions to ensure transparency and adherence to donor and organisational policies. You will collaborate closely with the Grants Management and Programme teams to guarantee funds are utilized appropriately and financial reports are submitted promptly. Key Responsibilities Process and accurately record grant-related financial transactions in line with donor agreements and organisational policies. Assist in preparing and maintaining grant budgets and financial tracking tools. Monitor expenditures against approved budgets and report any variances. Provide financial data to support programme and grant reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with donor financial guidelines and reporting obligations. Support the processing and tracking of grant disbursements to partners according to approved agreements. Assist with reconciling grant accounts, including bank reconciliations where applicable. Maintain organised and up-to-date records of all grant financial documents such as contracts, budgets, and reports. Provide accurate information for performance management and participate in related discussions. Qualifications and Experience Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Part qualifications with professional accounting bodies such as ACCA or ZICA are advantageous. At least three years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably within grant or donor-funded environments. Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations. Familiarity with donor compliance requirements is a distinct advantage. Key Competencies Strong grasp of financial management principles and grant accounting practices. Knowledge of donor compliance and reporting standards. Excellent analytical skills and capability to prepare detailed financial reports. Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. High integrity and a strong sense of accountability.
