Job description
St Eve’s Clinic (SEC) is a community and family centered for-profit health service provider envisioned to bridge the gap in the provision of the most needed health services among residents of densely populated locations in several districts in Zambia. Currently, SEC is offering several employment opportunities at its soon to be opened outfit within the Lusaka SOS Children’s village situated on the corner of Kabanana and Kabwe Road. Key Responsibilities:
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable specific to hospital operations
– Process and record financial transactions, such as patient receipts, invoices, and payments
– Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
– Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts for hospital departments
– Ensure compliance with financial regulations, hospital policies, and healthcare standards
– Collaborate with hospital staff to resolve billing and payment issues
– Perform other financial duties as assigned by the Hospital Administrator
Requirements:
– Decree in Accounting or related field
– 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a healthcare setting
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
– Proficiency in financial software (e.g., hospital financial management systems, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
– Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
– Good communication and analytical skills
