Position Overview

The primary role of the Accounts Assistant is to prepare payment vouchers, process customer invoices, and post financial transactions accurately and timely. This role demands attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and proficiency in accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and verify payment vouchers for processing.
  • Process and post customer invoices in the accounting system.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial activities as required.

Qualifications and Experience Required for Accounts Assistant Jobs in Kabwe

  • A Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five credits including Mathematics and English Language.
  • A Diploma in Accountancy or an intermediate professional accounting qualification such as ACCA Level I, CIMA Level I, ZICA Technician, or an equivalent certification.
  • At least one year of relevant work experience in accounting or finance.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Functional computer literacy with proficiency in accounting software such as SAGE 300, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Emotional stability, sobriety, and the ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Membership in a recognized professional accounting body such as ZICA, ACCA, or CIMA with dues fully paid.
