Key Outputs & Responsibilities:

Ensuring payments, amounts, and records are correct.
Recording and filing cash transactions.
Enter financial transactions into internal databases.
Submit payments to the bank on a timely basis after signatories have signed all bank instructions.
Bank reconciliation.
Processing expense requests for the accountant to approve.
Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
Ensure that all payments are filed appropriately.
Perform related work as assigned.
Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person.
Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.
Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.

Required Attributes:

Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
Ability to work as part of a team and take direction accurately.
Competent IT skills, particularly proficiency with spreadsheet software.
Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors; handle sensitive, confidential information.

Qualifications & Experience:

Grade 12 School Certificate
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting & finance-related environment
Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field (certified by ZAQA)
Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
Experience in the financial sector will be an added advantage
