Job description

1. Highly Desirable Qualifications

Direct experience in row crops, seed production, or maize farming is a strong advantage.
Proficiency with farm management software will be considered an asset.
Strong understanding of agricultural production cycles, including seasonal planting, harvesting, and related challenges

Organized & Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, particularly during peak seasons such as planting and harvesting.
Proactive & Hands-On: Willingness to visit fields and understand operations beyond the office setting.
Clear Communicator: Ability to simplify and explain financial concepts to non-financial staff (e.g., Farm Managers, field operators).
Problem-Solver: Resourceful, independent, and solutions-focused.
Deadline-Oriented: Demonstrates consistency in completing tasks within required timelines.

3. Education & Professional Background

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
ACCA or CIMA qualification will be an added advantage.
Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in an agricultural, farming, or agribusiness environment.
Proven track record in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting (non-negotiable).
High proficiency in accounting systems, preferably Sage Evolution or Sage 300, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
Mandatory: Active membership with ZICA.
