AUTOFOX JAPANESE TYRES & SPARES – LUSAKA

Position: Accountant

Location: Lusaka, Zambia

Employment Type: Full-Time

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Autofox Japanese Tyres is a growing tyre trading company based in Lusaka, specializing in the supply and distribution of quality Japanese tyres for passenger vehicles, trucks, buses and commercial vehicles.

Autofox Japanese Tyres & Spares is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented, and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documents.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Monitor daily sales, expenses, cash receipts, and payments.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and cash transactions.
  • Assist with budgeting, financial planning, and cost control.
  • Ensure timely tax submissions and compliance with relevant Zambian tax regulations.
  • Maintain proper records of stock purchases, tyre sales, and inventory transactions.
  • Support management in financial decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant work experience in an accounting role.
  • Practical knowledge of bookkeeping, financial reporting, and bank reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • High levels of integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Experience in retail, wholesale, inventory management, and daily cash reconciliation.
  • Ability to manage sales, stock purchases, and financial controls effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
