Key Responsibilities for Accountant Jobs in Lusaka

• Process financial transactions using SAP Business One software.
• Submit and reconcile statutory payments including NAPSA, NHIMA, PAYE, Withholding Tax, and VAT across multiple entities.
• Prepare, maintain, and submit weekly cash flow reports.
• Conduct weekly follow-ups on debtors and actively participate in review meetings.
• Prepare and review month-end reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Oversee monthly and daily creditors payment runs.
• Prepare fixed asset capitalization worksheets and update records within SAP.
• Supervise payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Coordinate monthly inventory cycle counts to support inventory control.
• Facilitate annual insurance renewals and ensure trading license compliance.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting complemented by full ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA certification.
• Minimum of three years’ relevant work experience demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in SAP Business One accounting software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and multitask effectively under pressure.
