Role Overview: Accountant Jobs in Kitwe

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Chartered Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in preparing financial statements, managing audits, performing tax and payroll duties, and providing insightful financial analysis that supports strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile financial transactions, including loan disbursements and repayments
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Manage financial systems, budgets, and forecasts to support business growth
• Assess financial risks and recommend preventive measures
• Provide professional advice on financial decisions and investment opportunities
• Coordinate internal audits and liaise with external auditors
• Ensure financial practices comply with statutory legislation and regulations
• Lead budgeting and financial planning processes
• Recommend cost reduction and profit enhancement strategies
• Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting financial compliance

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as a Chartered Accountant, preferably within lending institutions
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end closing processes
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with keen attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software applications
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
