Position Overview for Accountant Jobs in Lusaka
We are searching for a detail-oriented Accountant to oversee our financial operations, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and support the financial integrity of our company. This full-time position is ideal for candidates with a background in accounting or finance who thrive in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting
- Maintain comprehensive accounting records and perform reconciliations
- Oversee premium collections and timely remittances to insurers
- Ensure segregation of client funds in line with regulatory standards
- Prepare regulatory returns and assist with internal and external audits
- Enhance internal controls and financial reporting systems to safeguard assets
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional certification preferred (ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA membership)
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles
- Experience within the insurance or financial sector is advantageous
