WE ARE HIRING: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (BDO)

July Express Cargo Limited, a fast-growing shipping and logistics company in Zambia, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer (BDO) to drive growth, partnerships, and revenue expansion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Identify and secure new corporate clients for air & sea freight services

– Develop and execute sales and business growth strategies

– Build strong relationships with importers, exporters, and agents

– Support digital marketing and promotional campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team

– Work closely with Operations & Customer Service teams to ensure smooth client handling

– Achieve monthly sales and revenue targets.

REQUIREMENTS:

– Minimum of 1 year experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding

– Strong understanding of shipping documentation and Incoterms (International Commercial Terms)

– Ability to interpret and explain import/export shipping processes to clients

– Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field (added advantage)

– Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills

– Target-driven, proactive, and able to work under pressure

– Knowledge of air and sea freight operations is an added advantage

– Must have personal laptop with Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic AI tools knowledge
