1. Position: Maintenance Officer – 6 months
Location: Lusaka, Zambia
Reporting to: Facility and Site Operations Manager
Organisation: OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre
OYDC Zambia—Sports Development Centre is seeking a dedicated and qualified Maintenance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the functionality, safety, and overall condition of our facilities, grounds, and equipment. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a background in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or building maintenance
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on all buildings and equipment
Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of sports facilities and green spaces
Coordinate maintenance teams and supervise contractors
Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
Secure and account for tools, equipment, and facility resources
Liaise with other departments to ensure proper use and management of facilities
Keep accurate records and submit regular maintenance reports
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
– Trade Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Architecture, or a related technical field
– Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facility or maintenance work
– Strong hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, or general building maintenance
– Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities
– Good leadership and communication skills
2. Position: Sales and Marketing Officer – 6 months
Location: Lusaka, Zambia
Organization: OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer / Senior Management
OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales and Marketing Officer to lead the design and implementation of impactful marketing campaigns that elevate the Centre’s visibility and drive growth. The ideal candidate is creative, proactive, and experienced in service-based marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic marketing and promotional campaigns.
Lead the production of media content, including video adverts.
Handle client communications and maintain excellent customer service.
Coordinate and support fundraising activities and events.
Conduct market research and identify new business opportunities.
Organize Centre expos, open days, and promotional activations.
Monitor and evaluate marketing activities and prepare regular reports.
Qualifications & Skills:
– Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
– 2–3 years’ experience in sales and marketing (service sector preferred).
– Registered member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM).
– Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
– Proven ability to meet sales targets and deliver marketing results.
– Creative thinker with knowledge of digital and traditional marketing.
– Must have a full Grade 12 Certificate.
