ASSISTANT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (01) – ECH5
Job Summary
Reporting to the Systems Administrator, the job holder will be involved in managing and maintaining the ZECHL systems and infrastructure to ensure uninterruptible provision of services.
Key Attributes & Skills
Must have knowledge and understanding of an Enterprise ICT Architecture which includes servers, storage, fibre channel switches and networking devices.
Must be conversant with server and other ICT hardware and be able diagnose and troubleshoot common problems.
Must possess Knowledge of Storage Management and should be familiar with Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Tape Library Technologies.
Must have good knowledge of virtualization systems like VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V and Citrix Hypervisor.
Proficient in Administration of Windows and Linux Operating Systems. Relevant certifications in Microsoft and Linux will be an added advantage.
Must have knowledge of disk provisioning, logical volumes and file systems in Linux/Unix operating systems and be familiar with common Linux commands.
Must have full understanding of Windows Active Directory and LDAP authentication.
Must Possess in-depth and applicable Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
Must Possess Applicable Knowledge of Networking and TCP/IP protocols.
Qualifications & Experience
Grade 12 School Certificate with at least a credit in five subjects that must include English & Mathematics.
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology or equivalent from a recognised institution.
Membership to a relevant Professional Body.
At least two (02) Years’ relevant professional experience.
