Job description

Job Title: Chinese-English Translator (Crusher Plant Site)

Location: Mumbwa – Chief Kaindu Area

Company: Grand Tripod (Subcontracted under Sinomine Kitumba Minerals)

Start Date: Immediate

 

About the Role:

Grand Tripod is urgently seeking an experienced Chinese-English Translator to work on-site at the crusher plant located in the Chief Kaindu area of Mumbwa, a mining location under the Sinomine Kitumba Minerals project. This is a hands-on, field-based role that combines language skills with leadership and coordination duties in a demanding work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a communication bridge between Chinese supervisors and local workers.

Translate instructions and operational directives accurately and clearly.

Assist in managing daily tasks and ensure smooth coordination at the crusher plant.

Supervise and guide general workers, promoting efficiency and safety.

Support cross-cultural understanding and workplace harmony.

Requirements:

Minimum 2years’ experience working closely with Chinese personnel.

Solid grasp of Chinese culture and cross-cultural communication practices.

Must be a team player who can take initiative and manage site situations confidently.

Must be sober-minded, hardworking, and a quick learner.

Ability to work with general workers and adapt to on-site environment.

A driver’s license is an added advantage but not required.

Additional Notes:

This is a remote location, so applicants must be prepared to live and work in a site-based environment.
